WHETHER it’s something on the go, or a relaxed meal in a stunning setting, The Shores Eatery, Wallaroo, will soon have everything you need.

The Shores Eatery owner Keegan Thirlway is busy preparing for the restaurant’s opening, expected next month.

Keegan has taken over the lease with Copper Coast Council for the Wallaroo foreshore business, previously Cafe Elysium and Caffe Mia.

“I was with Cafe Capella’s for about seven years,” Keegan said.

“This opportunity presented itself after the tragedy of losing Capella’s, and I’m excited for the chance to bring something new and different to Wallaroo.”

The Shores Eatery will open from 6.30am to 4pm, seven days a week, initially catering for a wide range of people.

“We wanted to create something where people who were finishing a night shift could call in and get something to eat, or people could swing by and grab a drink and lunch on their way to work,” Keegan.

“I’ve worked hard on the menu, and I’ve taken inspiration from some great Adelaide venues like Argo and Melt in regards to the feeling and the menu.

“As well as having an all-day brunch menu, we’ll have some delicious to-go options, some paninis, some croissants and some healthy choices like yoghurt cups.

“The Shores Eatery will be a place you can come for a steak and something sweet, but also get something a little healthier if you want.”

While Keegan and the team are busy refitting the shop, he’s also busy planning fun ideas for the launch and big events like New Year’s Eve.

“Long term, I’d also really like to get an online ordering system up and running, as well as a delivery service,” he said.
