All the fun of the fair for a good cause at Wallaroo Primary School

JOIN us in the Lamshed Gym at Wallaroo Primary School from 3pm on Thursday, September 24, for the school’s Family Fun Fair. All are invited to come along.
The year 5/6 class is excited to invite the community to the fair, which is a special event designed to bring people together while raising funds and awareness for Wallaroo charity Little Claws Rescue, as part of their learning in humanities and social sciences.
Business and economics students have also been working hard to plan, promote and organise this event.
Through this real-life project, they have been exploring how businesses and community organisations operate, how money is raised for important causes and how people can work together to make a positive difference.
Running the Family Fun Fair is a valuable opportunity for students to develop skills in teamwork, budgeting, decision-making, marketing and customer service, all while supporting an organisation that cares for vulnerable animals.
Little Claws Rescue plays an important role in rescuing, caring for and rehoming cats and kittens in need. By supporting this cause, students are not only helping to raise much-needed funds but also encouraging greater awareness across the community about the responsible care of cats.
This includes understanding the importance of providing safe homes, proper nutrition, veterinary care and desexing, and showing kindness and responsibility towards pets in our community.
The Family Fun Fair promises to be a fantastic day for all ages, with something for everyone to enjoy.
There will be arcade game stalls created by WPS students, so bring along some coins and have a go.
Browse a variety of market stalls from local stallholders, enjoy the jumping castles, delicious food and colourful face painting, plus plenty of activities and much more.
Best of all, entry is free, making it a wonderful opportunity for families and community members to come along, enjoy the festivities and support a meaningful cause.
This event will be more than just a fun day out — it will be a chance for
our students to put their classroom learning into action and see how their ideas and efforts can create a real impact.
By organising the fair, the year 5/6 class is learning that business is not only about buying and selling, but also about meeting community needs, promoting important messages and contributing to the wellbeing of others.
We warmly encourage all members of the community to attend and support our students in this exciting initiative.
Whether you come to browse the stalls, enjoy the activities, grab something delicious to eat or simply be part of the atmosphere, there will be lots to see and do.
