Kadina seminar to help farming families harvest new opportunities

FARMING families and agribusiness operators from across Yorke Peninsula are invited to gain timely financial, economic and grain marketing insights at the Harvesting Opportunities Seminar in Kadina this month.
The free seminar will bring together industry experts to discuss issues affecting farming businesses and families, with practical examples and opportunities for attendees to ask questions.
Paula Liddle, agribusiness partner at William Buck, says the seminar is designed to give local farming families practical information they can use when planning for the future.
“With so much changing across the economic, taxation and grain marketing landscape, it is important for farming families to understand what these developments could mean for their business and longer-term plans,” Ms Liddle says.
The program will include a Federal Budget update examining what the latest measures mean for businesses and superannuation, including changes relating to CGT, trusts and Division 296.
“The proposed changes in the 2026-27 Federal Budget are significant for farming businesses using trusts for succession planning, asset protection and the flexible management of seasonal income,” Ms Liddle says.
“This will be one of the key topics addressed in our session.”
NAB will provide its view on interest rates, local conditions across YP and broader developments across the region.
The seminar will also explore the key pillars of grain marketing and practical ways producers can improve the odds in their favour.

The Harvesting Opportunities Seminar will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 4pm to 5.30pm, at the Kadina Football Club, 1 Doswell Terrace.
