WHEN it comes to designing a new home or transforming an existing one, Ben Masters from Coastal Edge Home Design believes every project should reflect the people who will live in it while making the most of the space available.

Based in Port Neill and servicing Eyre Peninsula, Yorke Peninsula and regional South Australia, Coastal Edge Home Design is a locally owned, family-run business offering complete residential design services, from concept plans through to council approval.

Ben’s passion for home design grew from his background in the building and carpentry industry, where he developed a strong understanding of how homes are constructed and what makes them practical, functional and enjoyable to live in.

“I’ve always enjoyed working with people to bring their ideas to life,” Ben said.

“One of my favourite parts of the job is taking an older home and working with clients to transform it into something modern, exciting and better suited to the way they live today. 

“I also enjoy finding clever design solutions that make the most of the space available, whether it’s a compact block, an existing home or a rural property.”

From new family homes and beachfront shacks, to renovation, extension or rural projects, Ben works closely with each client to create designs that suit their lifestyle, respect their budget and allow for future growth.

Using professional 3D modelling and detailed construction documentation, Coastal Edge Home Design allows clients to visualise their project before construction begins. 

The business also coordinates engineering, energy assessments and council approvals, making the entire process as straightforward as possible.
