PETS Domain, Australia’s third largest bricks and mortar pet retailer, is changing its loyalty program.
The +Plus Club Membership Program has evolved from a points-based system with savings on selected products to a paid membership model which offers savings daily, and is the first in the pet retail space in Australia.
The new model consists of three tiers — gold, silver and blue.
Gold membership customers save 30 per cent on all products in-store every day at a cost of $50 for six months.
Silver membership costs $20 for six months and saves customers 20 per cent on all purchases in store.
Gold and silver discounts are in addition to all other promotional discounts in-store.
Blue members accrue points on purchases with $1 equalling one point; collect 500 points to receive a $10 voucher.
“With the cost-of-living pressures and increases in interest rates starting to impact households, we wanted to ensure our loyalty program was offering real value to our customers,” Pets Domain chief operating officer Matthew Fechner said.
“Offering great value is the cornerstone of everything we do at Pets Domain; the changes we’ve made to our +Plus Club Membership enable our customers to save significantly on their pet shop.
“We are pleased that the community has received the changes so well.”
