Yorke Peninsula Exercise Physiology launching in Minlaton

YORKE Peninsula Exercise Physiology will be offering a brand new allied health service on Yorke Peninsula.

The clinic will be based in the Minlaton Community Health Centre and opens on Monday, July 4.

Owner and clinician Ben Edwards said he can see a range of clients at the new practice, including NDIS, return to work, DVA, Medicare, and private health.

“Our focus is to use exercise and education to treat, prevent and manage acute and chronic conditions,” he said.

“Health conditions lasting longer than three months are classified as chronic and that’s where we come into play, you can come see us to manage, and prevent it from getting worse.

“We’ve got a brand new cable machine which you can pretty much use for any exercise, as well as parallel bars, a trap bar, step ups, a bike and plenty of other equipment.”

Ben said he’s excited about the opportunity to share the benefits of Exercise Physiology with people on Yorke Peninsula.

“I feel like the time is right to expose Exercise Physiology to Minlaton and the surrounding areas and I can’t wait to educate people on how exercise can always help in some way,” he said.

“I grew up on a farm just outside of Minlaton, so after moving to Adelaide for university, it has always been a dream of mine to come back and start this.

“As well as visits in the clinic, I’m also thrilled to be offering home consults and telehealth services, which means we can work with people all across the peninsula, including the Copper Coast and remote areas.”

Yorke Peninsula Exercise Physiology will be open on Mondays with the opportunity to increase days in the future.
