REPRESENTATIVES from various universities, TAFE SA and other educational institutions will attend the Subject Marketplace event at Harvest Christian College, Kadina, tomorrow (Wednesday, July 31).
The event is part of a school initiative to help students prepare for senior school and tertiary education.
The event is targeted at current students in years 6-12, their families and people from the wider community interested in seeing what Harvest Christian College offers.
Marketing and communications officer, Lauren Evans, says the event will foster important dialogue between students and tertiary education institutions.
“As students move into senior school, there are more subject options available for them to choose from.
“This can be an exciting but also complicated task, especially as many students are still determining the career path they wish to pursue after graduation.”
Head of Senior School, Scott Carson, says the Subject Marketplace is part of the school’s commitment and process to assist students in secondary school with their subject selections for 2025 and beyond.
“During the event, students will have the opportunity to ask questions and gather information about SACE, VET (Vocational Education and Training), the compulsory senior school subject Research Project, and other subjects we offer.
“Representatives from TAFE, Uni Hub, University of Adelaide, Flinders University, Academy of Interactive Entertainment, Lincoln College, East Training Group, Mosel Surveyors and more will all be in attendance.
“Year 12 students will also be able to receive assistance with their SATAC university applications.”
The Subject Marketplace is at the college’s Cornerstone Stadium between 2pm and 7pm.
