COPPER Coast Residents and Ratepayers Association is holding a public meeting in the Kadina Town Hall, 7pm, on Tuesday, June 13.
Chairman Neil Windsor said he and his committee had organised the meeting in response to constant concerns expressed by the community.
“We are always hearing the police are never around, but we know that is not correct”, he said.
“Policing methods have changed and people need to understand why this has occurred.
“This will give people the opportunity to hear from those who are at the forefront of our local police force, be assured of their presence in the community and understand their various tasks.”
SA Police officers will provide an up-to-date report about the district, including comprehensive crime statistics, police activity and crime prevention.
Operations manager, Senior Sergeant IC Tim Hanna, has prepared the local statistics which will be presented at the meeting.
He will be supported by operations Inspector Caroline Jacobs and crime prevention manager Sergeant Denise Hawkes.
“There will also be the opportunity for those attending to ask questions regarding policing and community matters,” Neil said.
“Attendance is free and all are welcome.”
