HARVEST Christian College, Kadina, is proud to reveal its new multi-faceted sports oval to the public.
The oval will be officially opened at noon on Friday, October 21.
The privately funded space is the size of an AFL oval and will be used by both the school and community in the future.
School sports days and athletic events will feature heavily on the new oval, and a staff versus student Australian Rules match will formally launch the space.
A full school assembly will also be held on the oval to mark the occasion with special guests including Copper Coast Council mayor Roslyn Talbot, CEO Russell Peate and Christian Schools Association state executive Mark Ryan.
The oval has taken 12 months to complete, with plans in the works for a number of years.
“We are excited that we are adding another AFL-sized oval that is accessible to the school and in the future for the wider community,” principal Peter Ayoub said.
“It will provide students with a facility which will host sporting events right here at the school expanding the capacity of our sports days and competitions.”
The college will also be adding an additional parking area beside the new oval, which is expected to be completed in coming months.
