AFTER three decades, Beth and Tony Porter are looking to sell Porter Seed Grading Service.
The business has operated from their Bublacowie Road, Minlaton, home and business depot for 30 years.
The Porters have both worked in the business, while Beth has also juggled life as an SSO at Minlaton District School.
Business broker Tony Versace OAM said the business would provide a good, stable income to interested parties.
“It would suit anyone wanting to have the freedom of being their own boss but having an agricultural background would help,” he said.
“The business is ideal as a bolt-on or standalone business and would also provide time off at the end of the season and various challenges, to keep your interest up.”
Porter Seed Grading Service is a member of the Independent Associated Seed Graders.
“Their many clients are farmers/grain growers who are feeding the world,” Mr Versace OAM said.
“Tony and Beth have always had a good relationship with their clients.
“Anyone wanting to own the business would need to attain their MR licence and their Chemcert certificate; the vendor has advised that, generally, the necessary qualifications are not difficult to acquire and do not take a lot of time to do so.
“A purchaser of the business would be provided one-month free training and phone support thereafter, any other arrangement to be negotiated.”
