IT’S been a busy four months for Damian Thomas and Sarah Witt since they took over as Edithburgh Caravan Park managers, something they had wanted to do for a while.
“We saw the listing about 10 minutes after it went online and applied,” Sarah said.
“When I was talking to my mum about it, she told me that Edithburgh had been one of my grandparents’ favourite places, and I had no idea.
“So it was a really nice moment for us.”
The park has 108 powered and unpowered sites, 10 cabins, camp amenities and plenty of space for the kids.
“The location and the people here are really special, people should visit for that alone.”
July school holiday activities
The park has activities for everyone these school holidays.
Sarah and Damian are excited for their first paint and sip afternoon on Saturday, July 15.
The session, which runs from 2pm to 5pm, is open to everyone, not just park visitors.
All supplies, and a cheese platter, are included in the $30 per person ticket price but it’s BYO drinks.
“We really wanted to do something in the school holidays,” Sarah said.
“The paint and sip is just for adults, but there are many things for the kids too, it’s a really great and busy program.
“Holidays aren’t always holidays for parents, so these activities can give them a break to do something they want to, as well as something to keep the kids busy.”
