SA community achievement awards nod for local leader
CARE in Motion chief executive David McDonald has been named a semi-finalist in the Local Legend category for the 2025 South Australian Community Achievement Awards.

Based in Minlaton, the volunteer-led organisation supports Yorke Peninsula and the Mid North through community transport, aged care visiting and Centrelink agency services.
Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme coordinator Sal Allen shared the news of Mr McDonald’s accolade last week.
“Drawing on his extensive leadership experience, David is passionate about empowering others to thrive,” Ms Allen said.
“At Care in Motion, he’s all about growing new ideas and building connections — making sure we offer services that genuinely make a difference and bring people together.”
Care in Motion continued to expand its services in response to identified local needs, Ms Allen said.
“We trust our clients will value our service, love it, and recommend it to others who may benefit.
“Our vision is to strengthen communities by continuing to build a trusted organisation that people want to be part of.”
