POWER SURGE: Grant powers up Bay Road project
FUNDED... Copper Coast Council mayor Roslyn Talbot and director infrastructure services Tim Neumann are excited works to underground powerlines on Bay Road, Moonta Bay, have been brought forward and funding increased for two stages. Council will now receive $1,186,023 from the state government’s Power Line Environment Committee funding program — up from a promised $970,400 — allowing the project to start soon instead of waiting until 2022-23.
