Petition seeks pardon for hanged Moonta woman
WRONGFUL CONVICTION... At a Cornish Association of SA YP branch meeting last August are then branch president Liz Coole, Peter Bates, guest speaker Leeza Peters, Rosemary Appleton, Narungga MP Fraser Ellis, Moonta History Centre historian Robyn Knight, Copper Coast Council deputy mayor Neil Sawley and councillor Matthew Stock. Ms Peter’s presentation focused on the trial, conviction and hanging of Elizabeth Woolcock, the only woman executed for murder in South Australia.
