MOSEL Surveyors, Kadina, director Michael Liebelt is celebrating 30 years as a director of the business.

Michael joined then Mosel Browne Surveyors in January 1989 on the proviso he moved to Kadina.

“Relocating to Kadina was appealing; being a country boy from Murray Bridge, it gave me the opportunity to continue being part of a regional community,” he said.

Michael bought into the company mid-1993 with fellow director Max Jauczius, both now long-term Copper Coast residents.

Michael is active in the community, through his role as chairperson of the Surveyors Board of SA and on the NYP Homes committee as well as a life member of the Kadina Apex Club.

“Mosel has been happy to help out locally, setting out footy ovals, hockey grounds, The Farm Shed, generally supporting local projects where we can,” Michael said.

Mosel Surveyors has allowed Michael to pursue his surveying goals.

During the 30 years, he’s enjoyed wonderful relationships with clients and been involved in terrific projects, big and small.

Michael was involved in the development of the Copper Cove Marina when it was just an idea on paper right through to what it is today, and construction of The Dunes, Port Hughes.

“I was amazed at the infrastructure put underground and the landscape remodelling to achieve this great golf course for the Copper Coast,” he said.

Michael said he also takes great joy in completing small rural land divisions as the thrill of finding original survey marks placed in the late 1800s never fades.

“Land division projects around Yorke Peninsula, Clare Valley and Murray Bridge have been highlights because it is great to witness the transformation from green fields, to living and breathing communities,” he said.

“Our team provides excellent, professional surveying services and is committed to creating better rural and urban communities.”

Mosel Surveyors is a South Australian family-owned surveying company with a rich history spanning more than 60 years, and now has three SA regional offices — Kadina, Murray Bridge and Clare.
