Regional Development Australia Yorke and Mid North is seeking applications for its Yorke Peninsula Emerging Leaders Program.
People who are currently, or want to be involved in local community organisations are encouraged to apply.
Emerging leaders will complete a series of workshops aimed at developing their skills over a six-month period.
The workshops will cover empowering people, building personal and community resilience, developing innovative solutions, understanding governance, financial and project management, strategic planning and developing positive media communications.
“The program is about engaging and developing people within our community who have the potential to become our next leaders,” Regional Leadership Program Steering Committee chairperson Dr Helen Macdonald said.
RDAYMN CEO Kelly-Anne Saffin encourages community organisations and clubs to consider supporting current volunteers that could benefit from this opportunity.
“We are delighted to be delivering this highly impactful program with the support of our partners and funding through the Department of Primary Industries and Regions South Australia,” she said.
The program will be held between February to July.
Applications close at 5pm, Sunday, December 11.
