MAJOR AWARD... Robinson Sewell Purvis director Deb Purvis with her award as South Australia's Commercial Finance Broker for 2021.

IN the past four years, Robinson Sewell Purvis director Deb Purvis has saved her clients hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Now, the agribusiness finance specialist has won big, being named South Australia's Commercial Finance Broker for 2021 by Mortgage and Finance Association of Australia.

Deb will travel to Sydney in July to represent SA at the national awards.

Deb, a Yorke Peninsula local, is renowned for her incredible customer service and expert advice.

She helps clients in the agriculture sector with solutions on loan structures, pricing, security, risk management, and transactional banking services.

By helping businesses secure capital security and flexibility, she helps them meet their business goals --something needed now more than ever during COVID-19.

"It's an honour to accept this award and have my peers recognise my work," Deb said.

"There are very few females in this competitive, male-dominated industry.

"This award recognises the important work we've done during several tough seasons because of COVID-19 and drought."

Recognising the best in business

Deb was also a finalist for the MFAA's SA Regional Broker Award.

Judged by an independent panel, the MFAA awards are the most rigorous mortgage and finance industry awards in Australia.

They showcase brokers, broker businesses and staff who have shown exceptional customer service, professionalism, ethics, growth and innovation.

The awards focus on merit, excellence and industry professionalism, not just volume and revenue, and provide an opportunity for brokers like Deb to showcase the quality of their work.

Deb has delivered better customer outcomes than ever despite the challenges of COVID-19 in the past year.

As a regional broker, her agriculture and finance knowledge ensure she delivers the best outcomes for her clients.

Deb's exceptional customer service has been a godsend for her agricultural partners in a competitive market.

Her knowledge and collaborative problem-solving approach make her an integral part of her clients' businesses.

"Whether it's a finance restructure, or providing a tax depreciation schedule for a property purchase, Deb helps my clients save interest and tax," Sally Storey from Brentnalls said.

"She's professional, proactive and a pleasure to work with."

A labour of love

Having grown up on a farm, agribusiness broking is the perfect role for Deb.

Being able to live on YP and travel across South Australia is a huge bonus.

Deb provides agribusinesses clients with solutions on loan structure, pricing, security, risk management and transactional banking services.

By helping businesses secure capital security and flexibility, they can achieve their goals.

"I'm passionate about agriculture and finance, and I'm lucky enough to work in both industries," Deb said.

"Agriculture is a specialised industry with many characteristics that make it different from commercial lending.

"I love meeting innovative and successful farmers on road trips around SA.

"Winning the National Commercial Broker award would be a great opportunity to put regional South Australia on the map."
