Helping nature after fires

SOUTH Australia will be better prepared to preserve and re-establish the natural environment during and after bushfires with a new framework released by the Wildlife and Habitat Bushfire Recovery Taskforce.

The South Australian Wildlife and Habitat Bushfire Recovery Framework provides a blueprint for future fire recovery responses, using lessons learned from the 2019-20 bushfires and existing fire management expertise.

Minister for Environment and Water David Speirs said the taskforce played an important role helping SA’s natural environment bounce back after the recent fires.
