Flexibility for SA seafood businesses

ROCK lobster, abalone, sardine and Gulf St Vincent prawn fisheries will be able to carryover uncaught quotas from this season.

The state government has been working with seafood businesses to provide flexible arrangements, including the quota carryover, after a rough 2020.

Minister for Primary Industries and Regional Development David Basham said South Aust­ralia’s commercial fisheries contributed $547.5 million to the gross state product in 2018-19.
