The proposal would have given council control of a section of the Copper Coast Highway at Wallaroo, as well as the Spencer Highway, May’s Crossing, and Wildman, Hughes and Irwine Streets.
Council could then upgrade the town entrance.
TALKS between the state government and Copper Coast Council about a potential road exchange — which could have led to the Wallaroo entrance road being fixed — have seemingly stalled.
