YORKE Peninsula Council mayor Darren Braund, of Edithburgh, has acknowledged the courage and resilience of the community while reflecting on the 2019 bushfires.
“Despite the obvious devastation, I can now see with the passing of time there have been some positives from this experience,” Mr Braund said.
“First and foremost, it was the genuine care, generosity and support I saw within the affected communities, and second was the agility and cooperation of council staff.
