AUSTRALIAN Volunteer Coast Guard Port Vincent flotilla officially named and commissioned its new rescue vessel, Vincent Star, on Saturday, October 31.
The 8.7-metre vessel is powered by two Yamaha 250hp outboards to give a quick response to any call outs to assist vessels in Gulf St Vincent.
Commodore Bill Taylor said the flotilla also received an Isuzu four-wheel drive eight tonne dual cab to tow the six-tonne boat and trailer.
