Local pro fisher is taking on state gov
COMMERCIAL fisher James Willis, of Point Turton, is calling on his colleagues to help fight back against fishing quotas.
The state government will allocate quota to fishers, which will be transferable, to manage commercial catch limits.
The catch limits have been set for snapper, King George whiting, southern garfish and southern calamari in specific management zones which will apply for a year starting July 1, 2021.
