Debate sprouts over genetically-modified crops

Councillors were to consider the results of a public survey completed by 100 locals involved in primary production.

The results showed 64 per cent of respondents supported lifting the GM-crops moratorium, 22 per cent wanted the moratorium to remain, and 14 per cent were unsure.
