Murdock motors to victory in Gum Flat

MICHAEL Murdock, of Stansbury, has been convincingly elected as a councillor for Yorke Peninsula Council’s Gum Flat ward.

The Electoral Commission of South Australia received 1204 ballots — of which 1186 were accepted — for the supplementary election, a 47.74 per cent return rate.

Mr Murdock secured 482 first-preference votes, 40.17 per cent of the overall vote.
