NURSING NUMBERS TO BE CUT

YORKE and Northern Lower Health Network is preparing to cut three staff from acute ward rosters at Wallaroo Hospital, in a move being opposed by nurses.

Currently, five nurses are rostered for the morning shift, four in the day and two at night.

The proposed changes — planned to start later this month — would mean only three nurses were rostered on in the morning and during the day, and two at night.
