Taking reading to the streets

BARUNGA West Council and Port Broughton Community Library are taking reading to the streets.

Funding from the Public Library Services has facilitated the purchase of 10 Street Library houses which will be installed at Kulpara, Tickera, Bute, Mundoora, Alford, Fisherman Bay and Port Broughton.

“The idea was one put forward by emerging leaders program participants Leanne Pridham and Bridget Johns in their booklet of ideas to create better community connections,” council CEO Andrew Cole said.
