THE family of Lucy McGregor know better than most how important community protection is for vulnerable people.
Lucy was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy at 3 weeks old, and had a heart transplant at 9 months.
She now takes medicine to suppress her immune system to prevent her body rejecting her heart, which means she’s more susceptible to bugs and takes longer to get better.
