Your View: Help Parkview

IN 1987, our community-owned aged care unit Parkview started operating with 32 residents.

A group of women, who were the first volunteer fundraisers, also formed Friends of Parkview.

In 2019, we have 72 residents.

Our fundraising group has 20 financial members and we usually have 13 members at our monthly meetings.

Age, health and family commitments take their toll on our group.

The aged care facility is a community one, not privately owned nor government owned.

We struggled to get the facility established and we need to look after it.

It is the largest employer in Moonta.

In 32 years, about $180,000 has been raised and put to good use for the benefit of residents to give them a happy and healthy quality of life.

Now we need your help, ladies and gentlemen. Our group meets at Parkview at 2pm on the second Monday of the month.

We welcome new members.
