TIME is running out to cast your vote in Grain Producers SA’s Harvest 100.

Grain producers, those working in the supply chain and community members are being encouraged to each vote for the top five songs they believe would entertain our grain producers throughout harvest.

GPSA CEO Brad Perry said the Harvest 100 initiative is focused on mental health and wellbeing.

“With the South Australian grain harvest just around the corner, grain producers will be spending a lot of time sitting on harvesters, driving trucks or chaser bins, often by themselves,” Mr Perry said.

“Through the Harvest 100, we are creating a list of the top 100 songs to listen to during harvest as voted by grain producers and others involved in the industry.

“The Harvest 100 will give the grain sector something to listen to when they are sitting for hours on ag machinery and provides an alternative to watching other forms of distracting technology.

“We hope this playlist will create a sense of community with grain producers knowing their fellow farmers are listening to the same songs right across the state.

“We are encouraging anyone who has a song they think is perfect for

harvest to submit their entry at www.harvest100.com.au.”

The GPSA team has thrown up its own suggestions including Yellow by Coldplay, Here I Go Again by Whitesnake, Meatloaf’s Paradise by the Dashboard Light and Cruise Control by the Headless Chickens.

Voting closes at 5pm on Friday, October 28.
