Get a taste of YP seafood at Warooka
LOWER Yorke Seafood and Salt Food and Events in Warooka is among the many regional food outlets participating in the federal and state governments’ Summer Plan Dining Cashback Program.

Proprietor Simon Rowe says the business offers locally caught seafood for dine-in, takeaway or home cooking.
“We pride ourselves on using sustainably caught produce from local fishers,” he says.
“This allows us to have some of the freshest seafood around.
“We have an indoor dining room and an enclosed, shaded outdoor area, which overlooks a grassed space, with a sandpit and playroom for children.”
The business also caters for events, including birthdays and other parties, weddings and meetings.
Mr Rowe says trade dropped significantly because of the algal bloom, as concerns about seafood safety kept customers away.
“Our trade has been dramatically down, and we were forced to close our doors for a period of time,” he says.
“The Dining Cashback Program will hopefully be beneficial to us over the summer holidays.
“As we’re in a remote regional area and rely heavily on tourism, we’re hoping it encourages people to dine out and return to eating seafood.”
The Summer Plan Dining Cashback program aims to support coastal hospitality and seafood businesses impacted by the algal bloom.
Dining Cashback winners can receive 50 per cent cashback (to a maximum of $50) when dining or purchasing seafood from participating businesses.*
