HELLOWORLD Travel Kadina is launching two international group tours for travel in 2026.
The first trip is to the unique, untouched Christmas Island from May 16 to 26, finishing with a night in Perth.
The second is four nights in Honolulu with a Pearl Harbour visit and Polynesian cultural show, before embarking on a seven-night Hawaiian Islands cruise from September 12 to 19.
Helloworld Travel Kadina owner Sandra Paddick has hosted nine group tours throughout Australia and internationally, with trips as short as four nights on the Murray Princess and as long as 24 days in Canada and Alaska.
Her first was in Kangaroo Island after the COVID-19 pandemic, when Ms Paddick said people were eager to travel but anxious to do it alone.
“Coming home, a few people on the coach said ‘that was really cool, when’s your next one?’” she said.
“By going on a group tour, they’re going to places that they may have never considered before because they’re either hesitant of going through an airport or unsure of dealing with a different culture, so I’m there for them all the way.”
Ms Paddick said her favourite tour was to see Japan’s cherry blossoms in March this year.
“It was great to be able to take a group of people across to see something that only happens once a year and for a very short period of time,” she said.
“We were just lucky that we could follow the cherry blossoms all the way.
“We started in Tokyo and as we went south the blossoms were still going.
“And just knowing that people who would normally not travel on their own I was able to give them that opportunity that we could all travel as a group.”
Ms Paddick has owned Helloworld Travel Kadina since 1991 and is passionate about perfecting clients’ travel plans.
“Travel’s changed a lot over that time, it’s become a lot more automated, so by booking through us you’re actually talking to a person — not to a computer that, when you’re on the other side of the world, can’t fix your problems.”
