INDEPENDENT audiology company Hearing Matters is opening the doors to its Wallaroo clinic.

The practice, at Wallaroo Hospital and Health Services, 1 Ernest Terrace, will be open fortnightly or monthly, depending on need.

Senior audiologist Jan Machotka said, by being independent, Hearing Matters clients have more choice.

“We pride ourselves on our independence at Hearing Matters, meaning we are not aligned with or owned by any hearing aid manufacturers,” Mr Machotka said.

“This allows you your choice of any make and model of device from around the world.

“We are not going to simply endorse our own one product to you, but discuss all of the possible rehabilitation options and give you the final decision based on your own needs and preferences.”

Hearing Matters also allows clients to trial their devices for one month in the real world, with no obligations.

“We believe this is the only way to make sure you are getting the absolute best results possible and continue to adjust or trial different devices until complete success and satisfaction is achieved,” Mr Machotka said.

“We do not pay commissions, ensuring ethical practice, affordable pricing and no bias.”
