The Dal wins state award

THE Dalrymple Bar and Restaurant, Stansbury, is officially offering one of the state’s best dining experiences.

As winners of the Bistro Casual Dining Country at the AHASA Hotel Awards for Excellence recently, the hard working team at the Dalrymple has been recognised for its high quality take on modern Australian dining.

The Dalrymple received a judges’ commendation in the same category last year, owner Rob Rankine said.

“We are so proud to have won this award,” he said.

“It’s the team that makes it all possible, led by our executive chef Will Glazbrook. Will consistently strives to improve our menu by following current food trends, and his leadership allows others to flourish. All of our staff very much feel a part of this, we are very lucky to have such a strong team.

“We are also proudly a family run hotel, with all four of our children having worked for us over our nearly 17 years in Stansbury.”

Rob said the Dalrymple team genuinely brings its passion for quality dining experiences to the table each and every time.

“This is recognition of what we’ve been doing for a long time,” he said.

“Two years ago, we set a goal to win this award, so this is an extremely satisfying achievement.

“We want to be the best at what we do and we continue to strive to provide our customers with the best possible dining experience.”

While hospitality has been a complicated venture in the past two years, The Dalrymple has been continuing to exceed its own standards.

“With border restrictions leading to increased travel with the state, our meal numbers have significantly increased in the last two years,” Rob said.

“This year, we are on track to achieve a 50 per cent increase in meal numbers.

“To have been able to win that award, amongst COVID-19 restrictions and whilst significantly increasing our trade is very special.”

The team at The Dalrymple is now gearing up for its busy summer season, while also preparing to contest the AHA National Awards, held in Tasmania, in February.
