THE Carpet Court family has knowledge and expertise.
Susan Daniel, her sister Bronwyn Dayman and Susan’s daughter, Candice Daniel are business partners in Carpet Court; along with Grant Donald, they purchased Kadina Carpet Court in 2015.
Susan had worked in Carpet Court businesses since 2001 and Bronwyn had worked with curtains and blinds for more than 30 years before this, stemming from their mother’s business, Kadina Fabric Centre. Bronwyn worked in this family business during the 1990s.
Window furnishings are a substantial part of the business, utilising Bronwyn’s expertise. The team has a tremendous amount of experience and knowledge between them and continue to expand this, by embracing new products and trends.
Candice has a business accounting background and had worked in the building industry since moving to Perth in 2011. She adds to this area of expertise for the team.
The business commenced with two full-time and two part-time staff. They opened a second Carpet Court Store in Port Pirie in 2018, employing three staff and servicing the city of Port Pirie and surrounds, west to Whyalla and north to Roxby Downs.
In 2022, the business expanded to embrace the Clare Valley and Mid North, opening a store in Clare. Susan has relocated to Clare and employs another two staff.
At the Carpet Court National conference in Darwin during May 2023, Carpet Court head office personnel approached Candice and asked if the team would consider opening a store in Perth, as there was vacant territory in the Osborne Park area.
Candice then spent several months working between the three South Australian stores whilst seeking a suitable site in Perth.
In November 2023, the newest store was opened in Osborne Park, Perth. Candice is the manager and her daughter, Susan’s granddaughter, Charlotte is a retail trainee and sales assistant.
“There are now three generations of this family working in the Carpet Court business,” Susan, Bronwyn and Candice said.
“The business now employs 10 people and engages the services of seven professional floor finishers, installing what we sell across a large part of South Australia.
“We are very appreciative and proud of the Carpet Court team.”
