PENINSULA Mazda celebrated its grand opening in Kadina on Friday, August 8, bringing a dedicated Mazda dealership to Yorke Peninsula for the first time.
The event ran from 4pm to 6pm, giving visitors the chance to explore the full range of models on offer.
Dealer principal Sam McInnes said the lack of Mazda services in the region was the driving force behind the new venture.
“Lots of customers on Yorke Peninsula have to travel to Adelaide for their services and parts,” Mr McInnes said.
“Getting a Mazda dealership and service centre in the region will save buyers time and money, and also promote the region.”
He said there were already many Mazdas on local roads, and the company had received strong feedback about establishing a dealership in the area.
“The addition of Peninsula Mazda also creates plenty of jobs in the region, which is always a positive.
“In the past nine months, we have increased employment by 20 per cent to prepare for the level of service expected by our company.”
The new dealership offers competitive prices on vehicle sales, quick-turnaround servicing, and access to the genuine Mazda parts customers expect.
“We have invested in the latest technology to ensure the service is top quality here on Yorke Peninsula, including the latest diagnostic equipment, as well as six loan cars for customers to use while we service their vehicles,” Mr McInnes said.
For those not needing a loan car, Peninsula Mazda offers an on-site lounge and coffee area where customers can relax while their vehicle is serviced.
Discussions to bring a Mazda dealership to the region began in September 2024, including a trip to Melbourne to meet the managing director, who backed the idea.
“We already had good feedback regarding the idea of Peninsula Mazda, and when we took it higher up, they supported it — agreeing the region was deserving of a Mazda dealership,” Mr McInnes said.
“People are encouraged to come in, have a look around, and say hello to the friendly staff.”
