M O Rustic Creations has a flair for that one-of-a-kind creation, and just love the challenge of helping to make a dream idea become a reality.

What started as a weekend hobby for Mark and Marcia Oster has grown into a full-time business. Mark has had a passion for timber and building his whole life. 

But after collecting firewood while camping on a friend’s property, and cutting a slab out of the redgum, he immediately fell in love with the natural timber. 

“Mark then went to work and built our own mill designed for cutting slabs, which was successfully used for two years until we upgraded to a larger mill to handle the bigger logs,” Marcia said.

“Every design is unique as no two trees or outdoor areas are ever the same.”

Mark’s engineering and woodworking background, together with Marcia’s love for painting and resin techniques, have grown the M O Rustic Creations range.

“What we were able to do quickly grew from small wooden one-off pieces to a much larger variety of original outdoor rustic creations,” Mark said.

“We can make custom furniture, bars, unique grazing boards, firewood boxes and resin boards as well as fire pits and outdoor furniture utilising old metal collectables such as steel wheels and wagon wheel rings.

“Pizza ovens and outdoor kitchens are also very popular with a wide range of finishes available, and can be custom built to suit any space.”
