POPULAR Wallaroo eatery Fat G’s Pizza, Pasta Etc. has had a great response to its home delivery service, launched two months ago.

“People are really loving the convenience of it,” co-owner Lidia Gutteridge says. 

“We deliver everything on our menu, including our much-loved yiros, homemade pasta dishes, AB packs, schnitzel packs, burgers and, of course, our delicious pizzas.

“Currently, we deliver to Wallaroo and North Beach.

“We do have a lot of customers from Kadina and Moonta, so we could expand the service to those areas, but that won’t be for some time.”

Lidia says she and her husband Corey Gutteridge pride themselves on fast and efficient service, while still providing the high-quality food they have become known for — meaning an order can be at your door within 20 to 25 minutes of ordering.

“Delivery is a great option for anyone who doesn’t want to brave the cold of winter, especially for the elderly, and parents who don’t want to drag kids out at night,” she says.

Lidia and Corey have quickly become an institution in the community since moving to Wallaroo three years ago. 

They provide a canteen service to the staff and kids at Wallaroo Primary School, sponsor the football and golf clubs, donate to various community groups and raffles, and run a catering stall for town events such as the Kernewek Lowender festival Wallaroo Street Party in May.

Lidia, Corey and staff even set up a six-burner barbecue at the front of the restaurant so they could keep serving hot meals when power went down across Yorke Peninsula in March.

Delivery from Fat G’s is a flat rate of $6 per order, available between 4.30pm and 8pm seven days.
