PQSA is celebrating 60 years of supporting and empowering South Australians living with spinal cord injury and other disabilities to live the life they choose.

As the peak body for spinal cord injury in South Australia, PQSA employs more than 750 professionals in the field across six offices and has become one of the largest disability service providers in the state.

“Providing an array of services to those living with spinal cord injury and other disabilities, we encourage choice, autonomy and control,” PQSA CEO Peter Stewart said.

“PQSA also drives initiatives which promote community participation and inclusion in the disability community, including beach access and sport accessibility such as the ParaGolfer equipment.

“Our innovative program HomeCare+ provides in-home support tailored to the individual’s needs and encourages independence.”

PQSA’s team of highly trained support workers, specialised spinal cord nurses and allied health professionals deliver quality services that prioritise individual strengths, promote independence, and encourage growth for people living with a disability.

“We are employment leaders in the disability sector, offering the Flex Your Way to Success program of benefits to its dedicated employees, ensuring their service and expertise is the highest level,” Mr Stewart said.

“As an employer, supportive work environments and commitment to inclusiveness are paramount.

“PQSA proudly collaborates with universities and research centres to conduct groundbreaking spinal cord injury research.

“Our connections with other industry leaders place us amongst the most respected disability advocates in Australia.”
