YORKE Peninsula Council is partnering with local community libraries to deliver a series of Digital Help Drop-in Sessions.
The sessions will give community members the opportunity to access information and assistance with all things digital.
Sessions will be held in Minlaton, Maitland, Yorketown and Ardrossan during June.
Public Libraries SA is offering more support to school community libraries in regions with a low Australian Digital Inclusion Index score.
This support includes providing additional funding for projects to help ensure no one gets left behind in the digital age.
Volunteer Michael Green will be able to assist with IT questions, help with devices, social media and applications.
“I will initially provide a general overview of all computer devices including desktop, notebook, tablet and smartphone with an emphasis on the internet,” he said.
“Let’s engage with the internet using these devices, where we go from there will very much be determined by participants.”
Michael said he wants to show people the internet can add value to their lives.
“My intention is to provide as much hands-on experience as possible within the context of group mentoring,” he said.
All sessions will be held from 3.30pm to 5pm and bookings are not required.
