Barley Stacks Wines invites you to Wild Winter Harvest
1 min read

BARLEY Stacks Wines, Maitland, will host a Wild Winter Harvest from 6pm on Saturday, July 17.

A six-course meal will be served by Newchurch Horticulture, Port Victoria, while Barley Stacks provide a different wine for each course, and The Yorke Band will entertain throughout the night.

Meals will include Indigenous herbs, a specialty of Newchurch Horticulture, local seafood and meat, as well as unique salad and dessert.

The event is part of the inaugural Tasting Australia Winter Series, celebrated across South Australia throughout July.

Fireside canapes and the sight of slow-cooked meat will start the experience, followed by a move to the rustic cellar door for a selection of warming winter-themed dishes.

Each course will be introduced by a member of the Newchurch Horticulture team, followed by a description of the paired wine from Barley Stacks winemaker Colin Sheppard.

The unique event is the first of its kind at Barley Stacks Wines and is the perfect chance to try local native produce alongside the Yorke Peninsula's best drops.

Tickets are $90 per person, with Barley Stacks Wines offering free transport from Maitland, Port Victoria and Balgowan to the cellar door, plus a trip home.

To register for the bus, call the cellar door on 8834 1258.

Tickets are available until 5pm on Wednesday, July 14, unless sold out prior.
