CLARE Valley Racing Club is serving up two great days of racing this autumn.

The S.C. Heinrich Family Fun Day will truly have something for everyone from 11.30am on Sunday, March 12.

“Attractions include Kelly Sports for the kids while Rohan Powell, one of Adelaide’s truly great performers will provide a few sets from his extensive catalogue,” a CVRC spokesperson said.

“There will be full TAB facilities and licensed bars featuring Jim Barry Wines, a bookmaker, Spuds ‘n’ More and a barbecue by the Barrell Racing Association.

“You can sit back on our extensive grassed lawns, which are ideal for a picnic, and enjoy a relaxed family day.”

Fashion At the Races will also be a feature of the day, with major prize winners earning a marquee for 

10 guests at the Easter Race Meet on Saturday, April 8.

CVRC is teaming with Tent Events SA for the Easter meeting, bringing something new to the track.

“We’re offering two nights’ accommodation in a furnished and stylish bell tent, as well as entry to the races, race book and parking,” the spokesperson said.

“It’s a great easy option for those who can’t be bothered to plan.

“We also have the standard overnight camping option in the club grounds with access to toilets, food van throughout the night and security to provide a safe option after a day of socialising at the races. 

“Just bring the swag. or blankets for the car and then have breakfast served up by the committee from the Stanley Flat Memorial Hall before the journey home.”
