FOR 23 years, Kennetts of Kadina has been helping locals enhance their homes.

Kennetts first opened its doors as a Mitre 10 store in December 1999, and the move to an independent store enabled the business’s lifestyle area to grow.

“This led to the introduction of solar and several Australian-owned businesses such as Bluescope Steel, Lysaght, Ziptrack Blinds, Zipscreen Blinds, Gliderol Garage Doors and now Haymes Paints, sheds, roller shutters, plantation shutters and internal blinds,” owner Graham Fleet said.

“It has taken time but we believe we have successfully embarked on the outdoor living market with reputable products which have successfully embraced our It’s All About Lifestyle promotion.

“Our team is loyal and dedicated, and has embraced the various changes made to the business over time.

“They have shown passion and dedication to our business, and the variety of customers from varying areas. 

“We acknowledge this as an important asset to the business.”

To stay with the market, Kennetts have had to make some hard decisions, including now to solely focus on outdoor living and lease out a portion of the store to 24fit SA for a 24-hour gym.

“We have been provided with the satisfaction of servicing our customers and continue to be able to provide secure employment for our team,” Graham said.

“The store is designed to assist the home and experienced DIY handy person, and we take pride in consistently providing speedy, friendly service whilst taking utmost care of our customers’ needs.  

“We don’t always get it right, but that is certainly not from a lack of trying.

“If we haven’t got it, we will go to extensive measures to try and get it, and most times successfully.”

Graham said Kennetts aim to provide quality Australian-made products with a unique style and creativity at a competitive price.  

“We endeavour to ensure every detail is taken care of, down to the final process of installation and we pride ourselves on our service and customer relationships, trying every time to work in a professional and ethical manner,” he said.
