FIRE IS LIFE... National Indigenous network Firesticks says Western burning practices, though well intentioned, have often contributed to further damage to the Country by lighting hazard-reduction fires that are too hot and lit at the wrong time and in the wrong place. Nharangga fire practitioner Peter Turner agrees and warns there are dead trees that have not received enough water all over the peninsula.
