YORKE Peninsula Council is inviting applications for a number of outdoor works positions, providing opportunities for skilled and motivated individuals to join council’s construction, maintenance and operations teams.

The roles support council’s ongoing road, infrastructure and open space maintenance programs and are based at council depots in Maitland and Yorketown.

Acting manager people, culture and safety Carina Congdon said the positions offered a chance to work locally while contributing to essential services across the
region.

“These roles play a vital part in maintaining and improving council infrastructure that our communities rely on every day,” they said.

“We’re looking for people who are safety-focused, reliable and take pride in their work.

“In return, council offers stable employment, a supportive team environment and the opportunity to build a rewarding career close to home.”

Mrs Congdon said council encouraged applications from people who enjoy working outdoors and being part of a close-knit team.

“These roles are well suited to people who want variety in their work, enjoy working with plant and machinery, and value being part of an organisation that supports its workforce and the broader community,” they said.

Applications are now open.
