THE Bute Ag Bureau Wheat Crop Competition was held on Friday, March 10.
The trophy presented to winner Colin Hewett was donated by Bob and Consie McDonald.
Michael Brougham from Elders Roseworthy branch had judged the annual competition.
“The standard of entries was exceptionally good but Colin’s crop was outstanding,” Mr Brougham said.
“In the end I had to look very hard to find workmanship issues to deduct points for.”
Colin attributed the success of his crop to a mighty team effort with his son Nathan and the good fortune of a very favourable finish to the season.
