FORMER Mid North farmer Colin Mitchell brought the first linkage Bogballe fertiliser spreader into the state nearly 20 years ago and since then the product has proved an outstanding investment for hundreds of farmers across the state.

Not only is the product steadfast in its accuracy and offers all the modern features demanded by professional enterprises, it is its longevity which stands out above all.

Techgrow managing director Colin Mitchell said many Bogballe spreaders, 10-plus years old, were still in immaculate working order.

“The Danish company Bogballe focuses on producing just one product, linkage fertiliser spreaders,” Colin said.

“This means they have complete focus on producing the best spreader in the world, without the distraction of needing to allocate significant resources to developing an entire suite of products.

“This allows Bogballe to pursue not only the very best manufacturing and finishing processes, but most importantly those that are specifically suited to linkage fertiliser spreaders.”

Bogballe has the best-in-class steel treatment and subsequent Flexi-Coat paint finish which they designed specifically to deal with the harsh nature of fertiliser.

“Every piece of steel on the spreader is blasted and has the edges rounded, before going through a 45 minute highly technical seven-step cleaning and chemical treatment process,” Colin said.

“The Flexi-Coat paint is then applied electrically with 12,000 volts to ensure 100 per cent adhesion, which results in an incredibly durable, flexible and resilient finish which, if looked after, can last decades.”

Colin also puts the longevity down to Techgrow’s regular servicing schedule, with most units in the district serviced annually by a Bogballe specialised technician.

“This helps keep the spreader operating at its peak performance but also saves the customer money by replacing any worn parts before they cause larger issues — as well as increasing the eventual trade in value,” he said.

Being the national importer of the Bogballe product, Techgrow has an immense amount of experience and expertise in the fertiliser spreader industry, and always welcomes a conversation about your future spreading requirements.

Techgrow has 3.5, 4.5 and 6.0 tonne units available before June 30 this year.

Drop in to see them at 408 Main North Road, Clare, or call Jacob Kain on 0407 596 112 to find out more.
