BENBOWS of Minlaton has recently undergone a restructure. 

“Due to the loss of our wife, mother and guiding light, June Benbow on April 30, 2023, the business has made some changes,” daughter Deirdre Cotton said.

“We continue to service four Education Department contracts out of Minlaton District School.

“We currently service Central Yorke School and other schools as far away as Balaklava on occasions. 

“Our charter service has also kept us very busy, with schools being brought over from the metropolitan area and Barossa Valley to make the most of our beautiful coastlines and aquatics activities.”

Don Benbow is now Managing Director, with Kym Pike — Transport and Logistics — taking on one of our school runs, as well as a large amount of the charter work.

“I now take care of the administrative side of things,” Deirdre said. 

As a family-run business, Benbows consider their drivers to be part of the family as well.

“We are extremely grateful to have had their support through what has been a very difficult time for us as a family and as a company,” Deirdre said.

“We would also like to express our appreciation for the support of our local community over the past year, and we look forward to continuing to keep families safe on the road by offering an alternative way to get you to and from social events.”
