A NEW, innovative snail bait from Agspec is already getting results.
AXCELA has a unique gelatinous bait formulation and is designed to kill slugs and snails in the most challenging cropping conditions.

Numerous studies during the years accurately outline the basic life cycle of the snail.
They wake up with rain events and cool conditions (like the break of the season) from summering on harbourages such as fence posts.
Snail activity continues for two to three weeks at which point they mate and lay eggs. Around two weeks later the eggs hatch, juveniles grow and the cycle repeats.
Agspec Australia manager Jonathon Lillecrapp said AXCELA allows growers to better manage bait planning and application, while minimising interruptions to seeding.
“Timely application of AXCELA is usually more effective and cost effective than multiple applications of short-window baits and better protects your precious crop,” Mr Lillecrapp said.
“AXCELA is highly palatable, dustfree and the only bait designed to swell to twice the size with moisture allowing more bait to be available to slugs and snails.
“Slugs and snails go crazy over beer because of the yeast and they go crazy over AXCELA because the gelatinous process the flour goes through to formulate the pellet.
“The key features of AXCELA align with the key events in the snail lifecycle, optimising control.
“AXCELA’s small pellet size allows for more baiting points per square metre than many of the traditional baits, a critical marker in getting better slug and snail control in the paddock.”
