THE state government is offering grants for agtech projects solving problems across South Australia’s agricultural sectors.

AgTech Growth Fund will give successful primary producers and business partners up to $100,000 to accelerate the development and commercialisation of technological innovations.

To be eligible, producers and AgTech businesses will work together to develop new technology which improves drought resilience and climate adaptation for primary producers; carbon management, sustainability or natural capital on farm to measure and monitor performance to consumers and the supply chain or market access and maximizing value for primary producers through traceability and credentialing.

“The AgTech Growth Fund is providing a boost to our growing agtech industry and helping to solve production challenges of South Australian primary producers while increasing profitability and productivity,” Minister for Primary Industries Clare Scriven said.

“The funding will bring primary producers and agtech developers together, to develop and commercialise innovative solutions for real challenges facing the agriculture sector in South Australia.

“This funding will directly help primary producers by fast tracking the commercialisation of agtech solutions to help even more primary producers around the state and the country.”

Applications close at 5pm on May 2.
